Sarah's interest in marine ecology began during her third year of college as a student in the Maritime Studies Program of Williams College-Mystic Seaport, an interdisciplinary maritime studies semester. She discovered that the subject of invasive species nicely melded her interests in scientific research, policy, ecology, and conservation. She continues to focus on joining various disciplines by uniting ecological, fisheries, and economic data to answer research questions. She holds a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology from University of California, Santa Barbara, a M.S. in Zoology from the University of New Hampshire, and a B.A. in American Literature from Middlebury College.
